Does a Vanuatu Passport Still Have Schengen Access in 2026?
The short answer is no. If a frictionless Europe is the center of your plan, Vanuatu is the wrong tool, and you deserve to hear that now rather than after a $145,000 application. We lead with the caveat because the honesty is the brand and the liability shield: a buyer who saw “Schengen revoked” on the first screen cannot later claim they were sold Europe.

The Council of the European Union ended the visa-waiver agreement with Vanuatu in December 2024, and the change took effect in February 2025. The decision followed EU concerns about the due-diligence standards of Vanuatu’s citizenship by investment programs. The United Kingdom had moved separately in July 2023 and now requires Vanuatu passport holders to obtain a Standard Visitor visa.
Vanuatu has since strengthened its institutional response, with expanded INTERPOL cooperation and enhanced VFIU due diligence, but the visa-free access has not been restored, and an honest page treats the revocation as a structural fact rather than a temporary setback to wait out.

Losing Schengen does not make the passport useless. It changes who it is for.
