Terms of Use and Disclaimer.
The honesty that runs through this site runs through its terms too. This page sets out the rules for using cbi.vu and, more importantly, what this site is and is not: it is the most thorough honest resource on the Vanuatu program we can publish, and it is not a substitute for advice on your specific file.
1. About this site
cbi.vu is the Vanuatu citizenship-by-investment surface of 21 CBI, operated by Bitcitizen LLC. 21 CBI is a licensed agent of the El Salvador Freedom Passport under The Bitcoin Office of El Salvador, and works with a licensed designated agent of the Government of Vanuatu to process applications. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Information, not advice
Everything on cbi.vu is general information about the Vanuatu Development Support Programme (DSP) and Capital Investment Immigration Plan (CIIP). It is not legal advice, not tax advice, and not investment advice, and it does not create an attorney-client or advisory relationship. Your situation depends on facts this website cannot see: your current citizenship, your country of tax residence, your source of funds, and your family configuration. Before you act, you should obtain advice from a qualified professional who knows your file. A confidential strategy session with us is the start of that conversation, not a replacement for your own independent advisers.
3. No guarantee of outcome
Citizenship by investment is an application to a sovereign government, and no agent or advisor can guarantee its approval. We can prepare a clean, well-documented file and represent it diligently, but the decision to grant citizenship rests entirely with the Republic of Vanuatu and its authorities, including the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission and the Vanuatu Financial Intelligence Unit. Timelines (such as the 30-to-60-day government processing window) are typical, not promised, and depend on the completeness of the file and the responsiveness of the parties. Any figures for fund performance, including the redeemable CIIP fund component, are projections, not guarantees, and returns are not assured.
4. Tax and residency
A second citizenship is not, by itself, a change of tax residency, and a passport does not erase tax obligations you owe elsewhere. Vanuatu participates in the Common Reporting Standard (CRS), and US persons remain subject to citizenship-based taxation regardless of any second passport. References on this site to Vanuatu's zero personal income tax describe the jurisdiction's domestic structure; they do not describe your worldwide tax position. Consult a qualified tax advisor regarding your circumstances before relying on anything here for tax purposes.
5. Citizenship is granted, then the passport is issued
To be precise about what is being offered: this is a lawful citizenship-by-investment process under the Vanuatu Citizenship Act, Cap. 112. Citizenship is granted by the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission, and the passport is issued after the grant. This is not the sale of a passport as a product, and one mandatory in-person biometric enrolment is required; the file is not completed entirely remotely.
6. Fees, payments, and settlement
Our advisory fee, government contributions, and third-party costs are published on the pricing pages of this site. Government contributions and official program payments are made through the relevant licensed channels and follow the rules set by the Vanuatu authorities. Where digital-asset settlement is available, it applies only to selected 21 CBI advisory or service invoices, by prior arrangement and after compliance clearance; it is never a means of avoiding due diligence, reporting, sanctions screening, or any applicable requirement, and it is never positioned as anonymous or lighter-compliance. Source-of-funds documentation applies to every payment method equally.
7. Accuracy and changes
We work hard to keep this site accurate and sourced, and we correct errors when we find them. Even so, programs change: government fees, visa-free counts, biometric rules, and regulatory status can all be updated by the relevant authorities, sometimes without notice. The facts on this site are current as of their stated verification dates and are provided without warranty of ongoing accuracy. Always confirm program specifics with us, or with the relevant authority, before relying on them.
8. Intellectual property
The content of this site, including its writing, design, and structured data, is the property of Bitcitizen LLC unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote and link to it with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions, present it as your own, or use it to train models or build a competing resource without our written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bitcitizen LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on the general information on this website, from your use of or inability to use the site, or from the acts of third-party services linked or referenced here. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Your relationship with us in any actual engagement is governed by the separate written agreement for that engagement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Bitcitizen LLC. Questions about these terms go to contact@cbi.vu. See also our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
